Seraphim Slaughter, Scum Terror
Just one look at the album artwork for Scum Terror and you’re pretty sure to correctly guess at least one of the topics that’ll be touched on by Seraphim Slaughter. Delivered through festering, open wound black metal, these guys blast through 10 tracks full of vile lyrical content and subject matter — Satan himself would be sure to have blushed upon hearing this one for the first time.
Their message is violent and aggressive as is their means of delivery. Sludgy riffs mix with pummeling drums, often shifting tempos a couple of times per track. The lead vocals, handled by Creepo (a.k.a. Lord Bellator), are caustic and indecipherable, spitting lyrics with vehemence. This is one of those rare self released albums that’ll leave you bloodied in the corner of your bedroom, itching for more.
Die Fucking Scum
The band wastes no time getting down to business with this full thrashing, black metal onslaught. The only drawback to this track is that it lasts just a minute and a half. It’s delivered with indifferent, punk like attitude.
Stabbed With An A.I.D.S. Needle
Sludgy riffs and tempered drums keep the flow moving with this one. Seraphim Slaughter explodes into straight forward black metal straight from the gutters of hell after a few short seconds. There is plenty of vehemence and cold-bloodedness to the band’s delivery.
Homicidal Halloween Night
I love the title of this track. Powerful drumming and memorable riff open it up as the band explodes again into their dirty brand of thrash/black metal after just a few seconds of restrained control. The rough production of this one gives it an even more evil and resentful feel. The chorus is quite catchy as well and will surely have you screaming along with the band.
Cervix Ripping Sex
Dark riffing and pummeling drums continue the theme with a more punk feel to it. This one is as aggressive and violent as you can get. The band lets up for only a moment to knock out a brief and altered sort of breakdown.
Scum Terror
The title track is also the longest and more dramatic of the album’s songs. It starts off slowly with methodical riffing and controlled drumming. We don’t hear any vocals until about the 2:15 mark as the band erupts into a good deal of thrashing evil.
Armageddon Rape Rampage
One hell of an evil, dark riff starts this one off as the drums kick in. Creepo lays down a hellish scream as the band rips through riff after riff.
Black Labyrinths
Strong black metal chaos keeps the depravity flowing as the band storms through “Black Labyrinths.” There is a surprising amount of groove in this short piece that’ll keep your head bobbing and bloodied.
Seraphim Slaughter
A huge scream mixed with chaotic riffing and drums starts off this one. It’s hard to tell if this one is an autobiography of sorts as the vocals are nearly indecipherable against the malignant sounding music.
To Cataclysmic Path
A static filled scream fades in slowly as straight forward black metal join in. There is a good deal of creative drumming going on throughout this track.
I’m The Unholy Motherfucking Master
Again, the band has produced at least another classic song title. As for the song’s music itself?… It’s pretty damned dark and violent. There’s a layer of sludge over its entire three and a half minutes as the band rips through it on a high velocity trip straight to hell.

Do you like evil as fuck black metal played through a meat grinder? Then this is the album for you. This self released masterpiece is a must have for any black metal or aggressive music fan. Sludgy production, violent themes and caustic music coexist in a world of darkness and murderous rage.
