Khlyst, Chaos is My Name

KHYLST have produced on their release Chaos is My Name what I can only assume are actual recordings from the depths of hell. The vocals often bring to mind images of one could describe as the birthing of demons while at the same time evoking the feeling of a tortured soul meant to suffer for eternal damnation. The instrumentation serve to wrap the disc in a veil of demise and doom — the setting of some otherworldly regions not meant for human ingestion.

All that said, the band’s sound is unique, pushing the boundaries of black metal to limits not heard yet. It’s abrasive, nightmarish and down right infectious. You can’t help but want to listen to this one again and again — all the while robed in blood stained sacrificial garments, of course.
