Bergraven, Dödsvisioner

Here’s a sweeping, doom inspired bit of black metal sure to make ven Tipper Gore slaughter a few innocent souls. Bergraven play a slow, sludge filled dirge of apocalyptic riffage. Each track, aside from one short instrumental mood piece, weighs in at around six and a half plus minutes.

Some of the vocal work reminds me of early CATHEDRAL — without the clean production or trippy feel. This album is just raw metal with plenty of catchy riffs. There is plenty of melody on the disc as well, with several solos and interludes to satisfy all your needs.
