Video: Red Fang “Hank is Dead”
If we’ve learned anything from watching all of Red Fang’s videos, it’s that it looks like they have a damn good time making them. Their latest dose of visual hijinks is for the track “Hank is Dead” (from Murder The Moutains) and it is certainly all that we expect from these guys. Check it out:
Windhand Windhand
Utterly Sabbathian in just about every way, Richmond, Virginia’s Windhand deliver so much more than your standard, aped doom riffage. The band’s self-titled debut is full of massive guitars, crawling rhythms and more than enough bong smoke to rapidly accelerate global warming. Yet for as huge a wall of sound as this album delivers, it’s the vocals of frontwoman Dorthia Cottrell that really captivate. Distant and omnipresent throughout the album, her delivery gives the punishing doom of Windhand a psychedelic edge that is just about perfect.
Video: Terror “The New Blood”
Any time Terror releases a video, or new album for that matter, you know it’s going to be killer, straight-forward hardcore. That said, there ain’t much to this new video for “The New Blood” off of the band’s 2010 release, Keepers of the Faith. It’s a montage of album covers, flyers and photos, but it’s still fucking Terror.
Video: Vinterblot “Upon a Reign of Ashes”
I don’t know jack about this band, but I’m digging this video for “Upon a Reign of Ashes” which will appear on their forthcoming album, Nether Collapse. Check it out:
Supreme Pain Divine Incarnation
Some how I missed out on Supreme Pain’s sophomore effort, Nemesis Enforcer, but from what I remember of the band’s excellent debut, Cadaver Pleasure, I’m going to be in for a treat with this latest full-length. The group’s fourth offering to the masses is Divine Incarnation and it’s a solid slab of death metal. Mixing the brutality and atmosphere of old school influences with modern accents and delivery, the 47 plus minutes of evil on this album represents the band’s best material to date.
Cannibal Corpse Show Off to Album Cover and Single
America’s reigning kings of brutality, CANNIBAL CORPSE, will unleash their twelfth studio offering this March via Metal Blade Records. Aptly titled Torture, the follow-up to 2009′s Evisceration Plague offers up 12 tracks of maniacally precise, soul-searing death metal. Torture was again produced by Hate Eternal’s Erik Rutan at his own Mana Recording Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida as well as Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas, and features the maniacal cover art by longtime CANNIBAL CORPSE artist, Vincent Locke.

Mr. Death Descending Through Ashes
2010’s Death Suits You EP not only had one of the more kick-ass covers I’ve seen lately, it was also chock full of buzz-sawing Swedish death metal. Mr. Death may not play the most varied of styles, focusing on what the masters of the genre (Entombed, Dismember, etc) started, but man, do they play it well. I loved Death Suits You and ended up playing that album a ton over the past couple of years. Thankfully, the band’s latest full-length, Descending Through Ashes sees them keeping to what works for them — tried and true Swedish death metal.
Sneak Peek of New Beneath the Massacre Album
Beneath The Massacre have just released a lyric video for the track “Left Hand” off of their upcoming new release, Incongruous. There’s plenty of bowel-spasming brutality and brain-melting guitar wankery. Enjoy.
Video: Aborted “Origin of Disease”
In anticipation of their latest helping of blasting death metal, Global Flatline (due out later this month), Aborted have just released a video for “The Origin of Disease.” Check it out below:
Pelican Announce New EP

Thunderous post-instrumental outfit PELICAN have announced the long awaited follow-up to their sprawling 2009 full length What We All Come To Need, a new four song EP Ataraxia/Taraxis to be released via Southern Lord on April 10. With members now residing in separate cities, the EP represents a new chapter in the band’s evolution with a reenergized focus on composition and the utilization of the recording studio as a creative tool in the songwriting process, yielding one of the most diverse efforts in the band’s prolific discography.
Video: Trash Talk “Slander”
Trash Talk may not get a ton of coverage on this site, but they’re a band that I love to blast as loudly as possible on the way into the office. The abrasive bursts of aggression these guys deliver has been translated into some sweet visuals in the form of this video for the song “Slander.” Enjoy.
Video: Morbid Angel “Existo Vulgore”
Love it or abso-fucking-lutely hate it, Morbid Angel’s Illud Divinum Insanus will surely leave an impression on you. Check out the band’s video for the single, “Existo Vulgore” below:
Landmine Marathon Gallows
I enjoyed Landmine Marathon’s last full-length effort, Sovereign Descent. It was a solid helping of bruising death/grind, but it lacked something. The production was tight — maybe too tight — and there was a subtle lack of ferociousness to be found throughout the album. In the end it didn’t really hurt Sovereign Descent’s overall appeal, but it was a marked contrast from the band’s previous material that couldn’t fully be overcome by the album’s improved songwriting.
Video: Brutal Truth “Lottery”
Grab a beer, sit down and enjoy the blasting grind and visuals of Brutal Truth’s latest video. “Lottery” is off of the album’s latest helping chaotic aggression, End Time
Video: Cannabis Corpse “Where the Kind Lives”
Check out Cannabis Corpse’s video for “Where the Kind Lives,” off of their latest album, Beneath Grow Lights Thou Shalt Rise.
