Embalming Theatre / Hacksaw Surgery: D-Composition

Embalming Theatre / Hacksaw Surgery

As far as splits go this one does a decent job of juxtapositioning two some what like minded bands with different sounds. Both bands deliver brutal, grind-core in their own maniacal fashion and each group has there moments, but this is pretty much a one sided release.

The Analyst: Summoning the Wretched

The Analyst
Summoning the Wretched

aking a more metallic approach to death/metalcore, Indiana's The Analyst combine their ferocious delivery with melodic, technical guitars and pummeling rhythms. With the likes of The Black Dahlia Murder at one end of the genre spectrum and the mosh heavy White Chapel at the other, The Analyst fit snugly right in the middle — branching out into both ends of the range.

Copremesis: Muay Thai Ladyboys

Muay Thai Ladyboys

Leaving a lasting impression is what most band's strive for. Copremesis have certainly cemented some horrible visions in my head with Muay Thai Ladyboys — both visually and audibly. Like a sledge hammer to the side of the head, the grinding, brutal death metal contained within the album's nine tracks will leave a mark on you.

Withered: Folie Circulaire

Folie Circulaire

Withered's Folie Circulaire is one hell of an album. The sludgy feel to the mixture of black metal, grind and punk seems so natural when listening to this album. Add in dramatic and melancholy tones here and there and you've got yourself a premium sophomore effort from this highly touted group.

Nefastus Dies: Urban Cancer

Encompassing a multitude of styles applied to a black metal base, the album delivers a thorough ass kicking to the skull of any one brave enough to hit the play button.

Benighted: Icon

For France's Benighted, insanity is the key to their latest release. Oh insanity and crushing riffs, thundering rhythms and Julien Truchan's growls and screams.

The Sick, The Dead, The Rotten Part II

This time around, the three way split is between Mumakil, Obtuse and Third Degree and offers up a sweet array of grinding, pummeling metal in the form of 19 hell raising tracks in just under 38 minutes.

Burning Skies
Greed. Filth. Abuse. Corruption

Each and every track on Greed.Filth.Abuse.Corruption is beyond heavy in every sense of the term — crushing riffs, pulverizing rhythms and vocals straight from the very bowels of hell.

Cursed: III: Architects of Troubled Sleep

III: Architects of Troubled Sleep

Taking cues from their past releases and their overall influences, Cursed's III: Architects of Troubled Sleep is full of anti-social vitriol and noise filled, grinding hardcore. Prepare to be bulldozed.

Flaccid Clitoris: Lymphangitic Carcinomatosis

Lymphangitic Carcinomatosis

Hell, with a name like Flaccid Clitoris, who wouldn't want to check out the brutal death metal on the pair of tracks on their latest demo EP.
